detonation mode

I recently put a set of rkt replacement pistons in and after putting 300 miles on the motor! I've had the detonation mode kick in about 6 times! I'm wondering if now the motor is more sensitive to fuel? I run 91or better fuel always and i have the ethonol plug in

Det sensor torqued to spec and clean?
Might want to try adding some clutch weight also.

I never took the knock sensor off the head when i changed pistons,i just unpluged it. I ran a tank of fuel through it with octane additive just thinkin it was **** fuel and it never set the det mode off! Coincidence i don't know but the following tank full it did it twice

Dropin or just pistons? What comp and elevation? Below 3k feet, anything except 12.5:1 will trip it without some race mix or lots of oct boost. You sure it's not an over rev?
