Det sensor

09 D 8 runs great all day then coming down the trail to the truck the Det sensor lights comes on shut it down and restart and it runs great for 5 or so mi and then does it again this has happened last 2 rides...WTH...

What fuel are you running, what map are you running, what has been done to the sled, what elevation, and are you talking at wot on the trail or just cruising? Have you changed your fuel filter this year?

I haven't changed the fuel filter I run 91 octane ,yesterday I ran with octane booster and it ran better but still went in to det on the way out running about 60 or so down the trail. It has the latest update and we ride 7500 ft and up in elevation. running an SLP can. 12oo miles on the sled. I will change the filter tomorrow and see if that helps..........It never did this till this year and the snow is great...........

Change your filter and I bet that will fix it. Report back!

I installed a PC V and it has cured the prob Dealer said it is running lean in the mid range and sold it for cost He said I didn't need the burn down expense and he really didn't need any more business at the time....

If I were you.. While changing your filter pull your power valves and inspect your pistons! You may have more damage than you think.. Just my two cents..
