DET Sensor going crazy?

I am still messing with custom PCV maps on my 09 dragon, and all of the sudden, my knock sensor is going crazy. Any time i get on my sled for more than a few seconds, my DET sensor goes off and it changes the timing on the sled so it doesn't run at all.

Is there any way of bipassing the DET sensor or desensitizing it? I think i read some where that you can put a washer on it and that it may help.

I have good gas, everything is clean, and i am 99% sure this is no DET or pre ignition going on. any help is greatly apreaciated.

How? the power valves were just cleaned and are sealed good.

no i have not, i wasn't having problems up until now and i have not heard of any failures.


Has anyone ever "unplugged" the DET sensor? I just want to eliminate it from the system just so i can say that it is or is not the sensor's fault. I know you can not simply unplug it so i guess where do i go from hear?

We have the BD PG turbo kit on our 08 800 dragons. We had the same problem. We had good fuel and everything was working good. Then all of a sudden, as soon as you start pushing it hard the det sensor would start acting up. We check everything, adjusted the fuel control box and nothing helped. Change your fuel filter. When we took it apart you could not even blow through it. I don't know how it even ran. It was not getting enough fuel which would cause it to run lean and start to detonating. I change the fuel filter every year now.

just for anyone who goes back and finds this thread, my DET problem was my fuel filter being plugged.
