det flash then multiple pulls to start?

looking for some insight. 2011 assault rmk 2100 miles stock, has been good until tonight. I just returned from a 6 day trip a week ago and the sled ran perfect went through 25 gallons of 91 oct gas all in new containers from same gas station sled was 3/4 full when I went for an hour ride, on and off the throttle and when I gave it about 3/4 throttle on the way back on the trail it went in limp mode with the det flashing so I shut her down waited a minute fired her up on the first pull and it ran perfect for another 2 miles to the truck, was really on off the gas hard trying to get it to det again but was fine. shut the sled down and 20 minutes later went to start the sled it took about 8 to 10 pulls and nothing so held it 1/2 throttle pulled the cord and it started, ran it another mile and everything was fine and would start on first pull as normal??? should I be concerned? leaving for a 800 mile road trip next week with the sled and I don't think the dealer will be able to look at it before I go.

thanks biltit, the tps was on my mind but wouldn't the sled run like crap or be hard to start before and after if it was tps... just asking? fired the sled up today on my lunch brake and 2 pulls as normal to start, shut it down a few seconds later and added some fuel stabilizer, a few days on the previous trip with the sled left outside it got down to -30 when fueling up in the morning ther was frost on the tank neck so i'am wondering if I might have a little water in the tank?
