Who sells derlon washers for the primary clutch on the 800 pros? I need 6 for our riding group. The spring is starting to wear into the clutch pretty good. Thanks.

X2 for Indydan
Pay pal him $35 for a three pack. indydan@hotmail.com
Include a note in the comment section with your address and that you are requesting his three pack of slick shift washers. In the OP, as he needed six or two or more packs. Enjoy!
Due to an alloy change or different aging process of the new clutches the aluminum is softer and the springs are eating into the spider and the cover and causing coil bind, which causes spring breakage. The previous comment about being just for the secondary is nonsense. Anytime you can reduce sliding friction in a mechanical assembly, it is a win-win.
Thanks. Are these washers derlon or something else?
I believe it is spelled Derlin. I saw a post over the weekend and jotted some notes in my phone for my personal use, when I'm ready for them. I did not take note of material but my guess is that is what they would be made from. As that is the go to engineering plastic of choice for bushings and thrust washers.
Try it, I respectfully disagree with you on this, in my experience the spring digs into the washer, which in turn digs into the metal, which gives the spring even more material to bind up with, I also know several others that have tried with same results, maybe your results of doing this have differed but you'd be the first I've heard of that worked...have you actually tried it or are you shooting from the hip!?!? Maybe some other peeps could chime in here on their results with this and if it worked or not, and if you did it from new or after there was already wear starting, and what your results were. Like I said I have not heard any good results that would warrant doing it with the SLP Delrins. I would go INDYDAN.The previous comment about being just for the secondary is nonsense. Anytime you can reduce sliding friction in a mechanical assembly, it is a win-win.
$35 ?? I think i paid like $5 for a 3 pack from my dealer last year.... just saying...
You get what you pay for, if you want to use the import junk then go ahead. Indy is a good guy with proven products and all is American made which helps our economy and stimulates jobs for you and your neighbors. Indy's are individually machined so he has time invested as well as material, shipping, and handling. I have nothing to gain here by conveying the information, I saw it posted, and saw some one looking. Just trying to help a bro out. Buy whatever you want from whoever you want. I Myself would buy American and do what I can to keep jobs on this side of the pond. Rant over
before you talk out of your A$$
they are $3.34 for a team delrin washer on SLPs site, and $11.11 for a three pack of team delrin washers in Canada from rec supply.
Sorry but they are different washers for different purposes. The SLP washers are the same you get from TEAM directly but they are only for the secondary. The ones that IndyDan sells are for the primary. So....prices differ probably because they are different products.
Exactly.
Wow....
Why does my dealer say I don't need them?
Defending the manufacturer?
