Hit the Yacht Club there is always a good fight there.
Do you think the grooming was good this year for one possible reason being that we MIGHT have had a good snow year AND without rain and warm temperatures during the holidays like in the past??????
We had rain during the holidays. We had sub zero temperatures. We had periods of lots of snow. We had periods of no snowfall.
It turns out we were able to groom during all of these conditions.
Our attitude is if the snow is mostly white, we groom it.
If bumps develop, we groom more.
If anyone would like lessons in how to groom in the rain, the State of Idaho provides a really great training program on how to utilize a drag when conditions warrant.
You use different techniques, but when done, and it eventually does freeze, it makes a ROCK HARD BASE.

This is what I know from reading this, Never and I mean Never send your WIFE to do your dirty work. If I had a problem with the club my WIFE would never go for me. You lose all sorts of respect sending your WIFE to handle your problems. Like my grandfather told me when I was 14. "Act like a man if you want to be respected as a man." BD

Well, just wanted to let everyone know that all the clubs seem to come with a little bit of drama. You folks in Idaho are fortunate to have a budget that allows good machines and paid operators and mechanics. Here in CO we get some help from the state, but just enough to cover fuel and some light repairs. We get compensated 90 per hour of grooming. A volunteer operator is going to burn out, because it starts to be a job. And you need someone who will treat it like their job, taking care of the cat, checking fluids and air pressure, and not getting that ***git atitutude.
Is someone out to get rid of all of the paid operators, or just one of them?

here in idaho some of us have wives that don't always obey us. she's about 5 foot nothing, red headed, and thinks for herself.
