Deep Snow Challenge - Boost Edition!

I think Snowest needs to add to their Deep Snow Challenge they do with the stock sleds and do one for BOOSTED sleds. Compare different boosted sleds and see who is REALLY the king of the mountain.

They could even break them down by type of Turbo, "Pump Gas" and "Race Gas". You could match up the M1000 and Apex against each other. The Dragon 800, the M8, XP 800 and Nytro could be matched up. Or you could even break it down by cost, under $18,000 and over $18,000. Let some of the dealers go Hog Wild on the over $18,000 sleds and come with some true monsters.

How would you set up this contest?

I would read that article!!!! It's my idea.....So I get to be a test driver. :D

I went to the deep snow shoot out last year and they did run turbos and mod sleds had a m8 turbo a polaris 600 turbo nitro turbo and a rev with nos. didn't get much article on them but they were there and ran them in time trials

Turbo vs. Turbo

They brought the turbos but didn't compare them against each other, just compared them against the stock sled. ZZZZZZ boring! TURBO VS. TURBO is what I want to see! Would the boosted M1000 beat a Boosted Apex/Nytro? Which is the best boosted 800? Oh so many questions, so little time....

Turbo -v- Turbo is what the shoot-outs are for.

There is no way SnoWest can put on a deep powder challenge for turbo's that shows what the new turbo owner can expect since there are so many variations in turbo's set ups.

How can you compare Brad's propane Nitro to a pump gas M8 from his friend Shane? Both are turbo's but you can't class them together as their purpose is different.

In the deep powder challange they try and class groups of sleds together by HP.. so do we ask a bunch of sled builders to dyno their sleds together to find out what class they run in? 225 HP, 275HP, 350+HP? or do we group them together by cost of upgrading your stock sled to turbo? bang for buck? we can have the $4000 to $5000 class; $5000 to $6000; Unlimited class $11,000 plus...

Group by fuel? Pump gas; 104 Octane; 110 Octane; 118 Octane; Propane?

Face it: want to see turbo performance that you can't afford and don't have the balls for anyway - buy the videos...

A lot of guys buy another kind of video because they can't do it.

Considering I'm the self proclaimed test driver to the challenge, lets make it simple at first. Have 4 mod-shops come with two different sleds. One with boost and mods under $10k of additions (retail price). The second sled is unlimited mods. Have the best make the biggest and badest beast around!

The other alternative is to cover all the variables and have me ride a different sled every weekend and at the end of the season I get to chose which one I like. If there is too many variables, then we can extend it to next season.
