Deep pow yesterday up secret spot

Would have loved to top over into the bowls but having some problems with my primary. One of the weights kept slipping over and rubbing on the side causing some binding and shifting problems. Besides, it was steep and even deeper with another 700 to 1000' vertical to climb.

Yesterday up out of Teanaway, secret area, don't know the map number. Never could get to top of ridge.

Two comments for this thread:

1) If it's your secret spot, why would you want to talk about it on an internet forum? Can't imagine why this 'secret spot' gets a ton more traffic than it ever used to.

2) Waterdog, you're tracks were still the only ones in there this morning when we got there. You had the whole place to yourself on Friday. There was tons of fresh left in legal areas. Why did you feel the need to ride in the wilderness? Your tracks went right past the sign, so please don't try and claim ignorance.

?????????

Secret spot

...and IF you were in the Wilderness Area all I can say is THANKS A FREAKING bunch for giving the Greeeeenies more ammo to shut down our play areas!!!

This is the same mentality that gets all the hills closed down in the summer. Idiots going off the marked trails/roads. Then the entire area gets shut down. I've watched this happen for decades in Teanaway, Cle Elum, and Ellensburg areas (everything from Snoq Pass to Colockum/Quilomene).

Not saying it was you, just IF it was.

I live here and it SUCKS to have my backyard closed off because of this type of disrespect.

rant over

Some of us have been riding in the Teanaway area for over 22 years. (Actually 38 years if you want to count dirtbikes).....Just because there are no new tracks there this week, that doesn't make it a "Secret Area"....

I know of lots of " Secret Areas" in the Teanaway area that i go to...... Deer and Turkey hunting that is...... Havent sled there yet.... ridden dual sport bikes all the way up the middle fork Teanaway river to jolly mtn and points in between (West, Middle and North FK Teanaway areas).

there are just as many secret areas in the teanaway as there are caribou in the teanaway.

LOL. Shhhh. Someone from the USFS will probably read this and decide to shut it down as Caribou habitat.....

And Waterdog, if those weren't your tracks, my apologies.

Thanks newtrout. No I like to ride to much to pull that chit!!!:D

Had a great time sounds like the snow level is going up:confused:

We went to the secret spot at Frenchie it was really deep and really secret.... so do not follow the tracks in Frenchie cause it will lead you to teh secret spot and nobody knows about it.

WOW you guys. Just because I said secret everyone freaks out. No it is not a big secret area, just takes some skill and Hp to get in. I was not trying to "hide" the location, but it sure got some attention. And bigger than any of it, NO NO NO, it is not in the wilderness. Actually still a few drainages away from the boundary, I know where it is because I hike and hunt up there also. Geez guys, just wanted to post some pictures from a nice day of powder riding, not inflame every Cle Elum area rider. As far as greenies are concerned, it WAS national forest land. Enjoy the return of winter.

Definitely wasn't implying that you were in wilderness. I was talking about another set of tracks, not yours.

I just always think its kinda funny how people want to talk about their super secret spots on a huge public forum.

Thats the irony, its not a "secret". Have a good week. Trying to get out again Tuesday. I think I found my clutch problem, so only the hill will tell. Have a good week all.
