deck over or long and narrow

I have a 8.5' wide by 30' long car hauler with the wheel wells inside the trailer and love it. Came from a 7'x29'...

I love not stepping over sleds staggered in the 7' wide trailer and I don't think the 8.5' wide one pulls much harder.

I'm not hauling from the Midwest though...

Forgot to mention...it has a dovetail in the rear which really makes loading/unloading a breeze and also allows you to get a RZR in there a little easier.

I know that I am in the minority, but I like my deck over. It is a 24 + 4 foot triton. Cross winds do make me nervous though. I have never had any issue and this trailer is one of the best pulling trailers that I have owned.

I also prefer the deckover if you have a 3/4 ton or 1 ton to pull it with (and I have a 12 to 15 hour drive each way haha) Just sold my 7.5 x 27 stealth inline in the spring for a few reasons.

- the back end drags driving in and out of lots of approaches cause they are so low/long.
- wheels are not in the same tracks as the truck, if you have good highways its not a big deal but up here, especially through Saskatchewan where we are getting a lot of "ruts" or "groves" in the highways I find you get more sway from that than from the trailer being up higher.
- More sleds in less trailer length for the deckover, helps out if you drive to more remote ish areas.
- More convenient loading, no stepping over sleds etc.
- a long empty aluminum trailer flaps in the wind like a flag when its empty haha. (yes I know you don't by a trailer for how it pulls empty)
