Dealer lost my cheque

Bought an 09 xp 2 months ago and the dealer tells me they lost my cheque. They want me to put a stop payment on it and write them a new one. I could have some fun with this one.

Well, if it has not been cashed stop payment on it. Write them a new one less stop payment bank fee. Should not be a bigger deal than that I'm guessing.....

What type of check....bank or personal? If it's a bank check that might be interesting since they take the funds out of your account right away.

Dizzle I agree with you. Things happen and holding out on someone you owe is a bunch of crap. Pay the guy and tell him what it cost you to cancel the check. You may need warranty work some day and if you don't treat him right why should he take care of you.

Maybe he is one of those "I'll get to it next week" and it turns into a month, dealers. or "Dang it, I forgot to order your parts last week!" dealer.

I squared up with my dealer this morning.They gave me a good deal on the sled and have dealt with them for many years.Just having a little fun guys lighten up.

Hard to put a funny twist on something when you write it down as opposed to saying it and alter the tone of your voice to make it sound like you're joking.

I know times are tough and people are really watching for things to be fair.

Curious which dealer do you hate?

I think it would depend on the dealer, if they made good on everything yea no problem, but if I had a problem after buying and they gave me any hassle, I would mess with them.
