Ya - I was shocked today. Less than 20 vehicles up at GreenWater and they have the most snow up there they've had all year. That's two weekends in a row it's been that way. Oh well, kinda nice to have the mountain to yourself for the mostpart!!

Easton

Road out of reload in easton. No trucks in parking lot when we left, just 2 trucks when we got back. Were the f*** is everyone. Getting ready for summer? Winter isnt over yet...
Easton- snow down low was slushy, parking lots is gravel, once you get up above snow level the snow got a lot better. No real amounts of fresh, but it was soft enough to enjoy.

Rode gold creek in the morning. 7 am and were the only vehicles there. Heard a couple of sleds during the day, and say a couple off in the distance, but besides that we were by ourselves. Snow was about 4 to 6 inches of fresh on top of a crusty layer. If you broke through the crust it was trench city and difficult to turn.

Cloudy and foggy above around 4k feet. It was snowing up high and raining pass level when we left.

7 am to 1 pm, not a bad time at all.

Still need a lot of snow though... jeez man, WTF happened to winter around here?

I was at Cooper Saturday...snowing good up higher,,,but foggy.Only about 3 rigs at cooper...Gallagher was busy though...even saw the "Sled Chics" pulling their 4 place open headed to Gallagher. Snow top of Cooper was around a foot to a foot and a half of fresh...but couldn't really see for any decent hill climbing.

Even Gallagher was slower than expected. Was good fluffy snow at 6k.

Seems a shame that we typically end up getting our best snow so late in the season.

I think by this time of the year folks are getting tired of the winter doldrums and looking forward to sunny weather and other outdoor persuits.

I know I for one love having sleds in the winter to keep me from going nuts with cabin fever when it keeps raining day after day in the lowlands.

I have to get a change of scenery every couple of weekends and the beautiful snowy hills are just the ticket.

Just sucks some years when it comes so dang late!

Anyway, perhaps that may explain why its so dead in here and on the trails lately...folks are transitioning to summer thoughts/persuits?

the past 2 saturdays the parking lot at baker has had under 20 trucks. yesterday probly only 15. it's like everyone was waiting for the one great day we had 2 or 3 weeks ago,,,, got there good deep pow day and summerized the sled. still tons of snow up there and i would guess we will still get more days of deep fresh snow. still a lot more ride'n to do. only got 600 miles in so far

It must be that time for the Stumpjumpers Motorcycle Club's annual FROSTBITE ENDURO AND DESERT 100. I know that i have been wanting to get some more sledding in but i have been focusing on preparing for the D 100. I saw a few toyhaulers and trucks loaded up with dirtbikes heading over I-90 this past weekend im sure to ride in a motocross poker run located over in Vantage Washington put on by a local motorcycle club located somewhere in eastern washington.

Dang...a desert race sounds like a lotta fun too!

I used to do that all the time when I lived down in New Mexico for 13 years.

Nothin like flying through the desert on a KX 500 in 5th gear, woohoo!

Might have to break out my Yamaha WR400F thumper :face-icon-small-coo

on Rainier maybe...crystal has been getting average 6+inch a day...
im going to the hole in the hole thurs after this boat ride.
