dead axys

went to the chic chocs in canada last weekend , due to the lack of snow here in maine, went out first day doing some tree riding and on the trail ride back to the place we were staying sled lost all power... started it up went 20 ft and died, started it up again and went 10 ft then died, and this got progressively worse. As soon as touched the throttle it would die.. ended up being towed the last 30 min (which sucked bc the pro throws some serious chunks). checked a few things that people thought it could be... nothing no luck... it would idle but wouldn't move, also headlight wouldn't work. dropped it off at the dealer sunday night and they had it going monday am... turns out the ecu was partially unplugged and the plug inside the headlight had come undone. still seems a little weird that was the problem just because of the way it acted.. not sure if anyone has any similar issue

The progressively worse sounds just like a voltage regulator.
But I suppose a loose connection getting looser could do it too.

I believe a few people have had loose/poor pin fit at the hood connector causing issues like a no start.

I was up there as well last week. YOu stay at the Den? We had a room in the next town over. Rode for 3 days. The 3 miles or so of the road going in was pure hell on a Mtn sled. Wholly fuc! But the snow in the hills was really good. Im headed back up once in march and early april. Looks like Maine is toast this year. Glad they got the sled figured out.

we went with adventure chic chocs.. good guys, great time... with the weather forecast looks like another trip will have to happen sooner than later

Am I the only one who finds it funny that this poor guy wrote a post looking for sympathy on a "Dead Axys," and all anyone cares about is the snow conditions in BC?
