DD warranty issue

So I've got a 2010 BDPG M8 that was purchased from Rexburg Motorsports in Idaho. They built the sled and sold it with a warranty which they said covers problems that aren't "turbo related." Well the hose clamp that always seems to fail near the front heat exchanger (the one where you have to remove the tank, trackshaft, and drill the aluminum shield off) broke and started to leak so I dropped the sled off (it's my first sled with a warranty and I haven't used it yet.)

They call me back to say that the warranty will cover it, but they may need me to pay for an extra couple hours because the heat that the turbo produced swelled the diamond drive making it difficult to take off. A COUPLE HOURS to take the DD off?!! I can yank that thing off in 15 minutes and with time left to finish my second beer.

Obviously I think they're just trying to squeeze a couple hundred out of me. But what's the best way to deal with this, considering that if they do try to charge me I'm never going back?

If they didn't call you & tell you about a charge, for an item that is supposed to be warranty, then they're out of line charging you.

Is that even possible? I mean it might posssibly "swell" the metal when it's actually hot, but seriously?
they are jerking you around for sure.

Did you have your hat on backwards the day you bought it? You had to look pretty dumb if they expect you to believe that story! Sort of sounds like you are dealing with crooks and liars. There are enough good people to deal with that you don't have to deal with that kind, of course they are usually the ones that sound the nicest when they want to sell you something.

Tell them right after they charge you 2 hrs you will use your foot and make there balls swell. That is if they have any, they obviously arent manning up and taking responsibility of the sell. You should also inform them if you hadn't caught it before it blew all the fluid out they would be replacing a lot more.
Truth is they will charge AC and then charge you and double up. Its there problem not yours, I have over 2000 miles on mine and the DD comes right off.

Ya know diggerdown, as much as you hang out in the turbo cat forum, your gonna HAVE to put a turbo on pretty soon.

Did i missed something, heat from the turbo that is on the far side of the engine compartment caused the DD to swell...... seems a bit odd to me as well.

Cant amagine the heat damage to the rest of the sled if the turbo swelled the DD. Better write it off!! Hope you get a wet sloppy kiss too. They are givin it to you large.

It was probably the trackshaft rusted to the bearings and sleaves inside the brake caliper that took the extra time. I don't buy that it was turbo related. My '08 turbo came right apart after over 1000 miles but the trackshaft on my 2010 was so stuck in there it took me about three hours to get it out. I finally ended up pulling apart my caliper and using a bearing puller. It looked to me like the shaft was installed dry without any grease.

Either way warranty should have covered it. If they are going to stick there neck out to offer warranty on a turbo sled they should honor it. JMHO

aftermarket warranty.

This is not a factory warranty. one of those p.o.s. money maker warranties. the heat made the Dd swell BS you might of hit a rock and bent the tunnel making it harder to get out . JUST another big dealer tactic
