well after reading up on here and another website on how to change the DD I figured Id give it a try. I have run into a little snag and could use a little input..

I took the bolt out the rotor side, I then took the 6 nuts off the DD, the DD should then come right off?????is the reverse something I need to take off??

the article I read on HCS made it look easy to do but the sled they used did not have reverse and my does.

Yes take the reverse acuator off!! you will need to pry the DD from both sides!! it will take a little to get it off!!!

I can see in the pics that you have not removed all the bolts. There is one plain as day in the pic on the lower right side. There is also one up in the foot well area. You have to remove the little block off plate attached to footwell by four # 20 torx bolts.

You don't say in your post what year your sled is, but your signature says 08 M8, right? If so you will need to disconnect the plugs that enable the reverse. Also, there are 8 nuts you have to take off the DD, like said above - not 6 like you wrote. You will need to remove the two blockers, one plastic one metal to get at all the bolts and plugs. After you have loosened your track and taken off all 8 nuts, put the big bolt back in through the brake disk and leave only a few threads connected, then tap your socket with a hammer and it will help to get the diamond drive out of its place, then remove the big bolt and just wiggle the DD out of there. I just did it to replace the dreaded single row bearing and had no problems getting mine in or out (09 M8).
