good for nascar yes!!!!!!!! do they need it yes!!!!!!!!!!

nascar has to do somthing and fast!!! there loosing fan base at a record pace!!! thats why they went back to rubbing is racing and some of the other changes they have done!! but i don't hink its going to be enough!!!. when they say that the #9 changed motors and stickers and now its a ford, thats when i changed the chanel!!! what a joke i think they should have to look just like the real car!!! lets see how fast and what kind of mpg's a real looking charger gets!!! or a real stock car race once a year. go to a dealer get one off the lot and race 500 miles!!!

Driving ability alone will not get you the opportunity to showcase your talents.

Marketability without driving ability will give you the opportunity to showcase your "lack of" talents.

She has marketability & driving ability.

Certainly not top flight ability at this time & I personally don't expect anything better than medeocrity from her.
But there is regularly 10 drivers (25% of the field) that will never be better than medeocre at best & we're not calling for them to give up their seats.

Her presence is without a doubt good for NASCAR, and I am quite sure that she could outdrive any of the yahoos who come onto the internet & bash her.

And then there is Tony Stewart. He got his shot cause he can drive anything with a motor but he was a PR nightmare. OK I need to rephrase what I said. She is a fifth place driver at best meaning she will not win a race. She will never consistantly finish inside the top 10.

She has won a race, finished in the Top Five and Top Ten consistently, and has shown the ability to be a contender for victory in the Indianapolis 500 and a potential threat on other oval tracks. Lets not be harsh on her. The only reason Dale Jr. got a ride was his father. He has never been a great driver even in the best equipment on the track. Johnson, Gordon, and Martin all did great last year. He gets all the sponsors, because he has tons of fans, but they all love him because of his last name....

Maluchm, She won the only race of her indy car career by a fuel gamble by her crew cheif. Week in and week out I see her anywhere from 7th on back. So she can qualify well, but that doesn't win races and normally in Indycar if you qualify well you are pretty much gauranteed a real good finish. In my opinion she is a spoiled rotten little brat who in most cases was a man that acted the way she has after races with other racers would have gotten her *** stomped into the ground. Now I am not saying she is or is not the best female driver out there right now in any circuit, but she is not and never will be good enough to run with the Harvicks or Edwards or Johnsons or Gordons or any other top 20 drivers in any circuit in Nascar week in and week out.. She is a cash cow and that is all and I'll bet if she was as ugly as Junior Johnson and a better driver than Jimmy Johnson she would never get a shot at the big time.

Isn't it funny when someone doesn't jump on the snowest bandwagon about something there is always some moron that has to make some comment showing their intelligance. This site used to be a good place to come and have a decent and sometimes heated discussion about topics members were passionate about. I could care less that she is racing NASCAR or any other series. What bugs the heck out of me is how they talk her up or make excuses for her lack of talent.

I get the whole sponsor cash cow thing. In fact I think she is teamed up with the PERFECT Team/Owner. They both are the most highly overrated under talented drivers in all of racing. They both have a fan base that is much greater than their ability. Make no mistake, neither of them could even come close to generating the sponsor dollars they do if it were based on their on track performance.

Talk about a driver that has completely underachieved. The guy races for Henderick and FINALLY got a pole. If he didn't bring in the money he did, Hendrick would have cut him a LONG time ago.

I wouldn't say he is only there because of his name. He can drive, he just isn't "great". I think he can drive good enough that he deserves to be out there.
