Dangerous Footwell vents!

Has anyone else had any problems with the stock footwell vents cutting them (on a Raw)?

Well I was doing some small jumping, not even that, and ended up with a 1 1/2inch to 2inch gash across the top of my shin right under my patella. Pictures are pretty gnarly so I won't be embedding them.

Ended up with this.

Have to walk with this until Friday

Anyone else have any other similar situations? It really does suck.

Going to doctor on Friday to get staples pulled. I'll try to get video.

I'll see any other information pulled in.

I am having a very hard time visualizing how you would cut yourself on a footwell vent??? Especially if you were wearing sledding gear

I too have a hard time to see it. I came off that jump a little nose heavy. It was so small I didn't make any mid air adjustments but only slid my knees forward. I guess when I made ground the sled went up while I continued to move down until my knee stopped me. It's right under my kneecap .

What harm is being done? The money will come from the amount they saved from sending the atv's etc to Mexico....

And I don't wear or have knee pads. I always get good bruises but nothing like this.

They'll refer you to the warning decals on the machine. You know, those orange and black decals right above the vents that you cut your shin on, that cover safety, operators under 18, etc.

I hate how its okay to sue anybody these days over something that is your fault. Every time you ride, you take chances of getting hurt. Most times it will be your fault and sometimes it will be someone elses. take responsibility for your actions or dont ride. You could always buy a bubble to live in and then you wouldnt get hurt. Doesnt sound like much fun though. Its not polaris' fault. Buy some knee pads if you need to
