UFC is now all about standing and throwing huge punches lately.Havnt seen the fights today yet but when fighter are throwing haymakers its anyones fight all the training in the world on the ground isnt going to make any difference.Nog is a joke now didnt even look in shape.Going to be a good fight for Mir.Hope they dont just stand and box then you guys will see who is well rounded.

Dana should be fired that fight is inevitable. Lesnars only loss and Dana say it wont happen? Maybe affliction could pull the fight. Probably just a publicity stunt to generate monies............

That's my point.
I thought there was a huge improvement in his arsenal from the Mir fight to the Corture fight.
Nobody can deny how hard this man works to improve his game.
And as his command of martial arts improve he becomes even more dangerous.


It'll get to the point that his only weakness will be his great strength, meaning all that muscle demands a great deal of oxeygen. So he may become winded by the end of the fight.
The problem is.....How does an opponent last 'til the end of the fight with this animal?

Easy bro, read the article/blog entry. The title of this thread is really misleading, they are going to fight eachother next, they just arent going to be doing it at UFC 100.

I am still shocked that Rampage is not fighting Evans next and has to fight that chump Jardine. Who is Evans going to fight? I hope to the heavans that Dana can convince A. Silva to come up to 205 to fight Evans.

Anyone who says Lesnar has not been tested has not watched his fights. He was DESTROYING Mir in their fight until he made a rookie mistake. He is a world class athlete (which Mir is not, there are only a handful in the UFC and he is the only one at heavyweight) and learned and improved because of it. Look at the big brother / little brother fight he had against a tough and game Herring, that was 15 minutes of domination against a truely legit HW. Then look at how he beat Couture, Couture is the smartest fighter in the UFC and he can have the best game plan in the world but Brock's size/strength/speed/abilty is something you just cant recreate in the gym and once he gets his hands or fists on you that game plan goes out the window and you just try to survive. I also dont buy the theory that he will tire in fights, he looked like he could have easily gone another 15 minutes after the Herring fight and looked strong throughout.
