Now I know why their job is so dangerous.
So I am driving home tonight, while changing a cd I am driving with my knee and I swerve a bit so the police man pulls me over, you know the bit driver license, registration and insurance. So I hand that crap to him and he goes back to his car runs the crap. While the intense lights shine down on my azz, so I move the rear view and side mirrors to deflect the light. So he comes back and says “do you know why I pulled you over?’ I reply nope maybe I had the wrong color hair? You ask a dumb question you get a dumb answer. So he then says you were swerving, and I say yes but in the allotment of my lane. He asks if I was drinking, I said nope, so he says I smell alcohol, I respond that is funny since the human nose cannot smell alcohol, in fact alcohol is a clear-odorless liquid? So in this he notices 17 Ziploc bags on my passenger seat. And ask what are in the bags. I say samples. Samples of what he says. Oh umm drywall, linoleum, a mirror. So he thinks I am full of it and asks to see them, I say sure but don’t open them, at least not around me. He says why, so I say I am allergic to the smell, I am just transporting them. So what does the dip$hit do, huffs each and every one of them and says they smell odd? I am like no they smell like death, you did not read the COC as to what they are being analyzes for? That was the point where he wanted to say OH $HIT, but instead questioned me if I was allowed to have these materials. I said yep, I am on the CDPHE site, certified to sample. Well that made it end quickly this is your warning and drive safely.
So any guess what dip$hit smelled?
Drywall-joint compound, mastic: chrysotile and amosite, approximately 22% and 13%.
Linoleum9X9: approximately 65% amosite
Mirror wipe: 100% (Be) approximately .65mg/m3
OUCH.
And no is was not a State trooper, since they might know something since they run Colorado HMTA.
