Dalton ajustable clutch weights

Got some Dalton weights, went 69.5 grams for my 850 NA, ride at 2000-3000 feet. Top end is perfect, 8400 then 8200, but the engagement rpm is 4700, way too high. I have 2 set screws inserted all the way to the tip. Wondering if I can place them near the heel of the weight to lower engagement and if they will stay there. My clutch spring is a 150-310.

We have them in an 850 try moving the set screw to the heel end of the weight, that is how are is set up.

Just make sure they are loctite in, mine have not moved and I have 2 set at the heel. Your 150 start is more of a reason why you have a high engagement.

Will try the 120-320 spring. Pulled the set screws back near the heel of the clutch weight and engagement went from 4700 to 4500...still high.
