More hype from people that dont know and have not been in the remote work world.
Gov & private sector found remote workers productivity is higher than those at work(less gabbing in the breakroom).
Productivity/activity is easily tracked, most gov agencies can identify if your mouse stops moving, then they look closer.
Remote workers tend to produce more to justify their position/worth.
Remote work is just like snowmobiling in the publics image, few bad actors ruin it for everyone.
Trumps team will realize this is futile, most gov agencies would have no place to put remote workers if they all returned to work especially in more rural American locations.
If you are hired as a remote worker and you get forced to report to a work station(most likey states away from where you live) or be fired....lawsuits are coming.
There are “mouse jigglers” for 20$ that keeps your mouse moving while you are away from your desk. All I know about is my small sample size of friends that work remotely and it didn’t decrease their amount of unproductive time. I mean there are those that found they could have two full time remote jobs and it increased the amount of work they were doing but not for one company lol Not saying there isnt a very good case for remote work in certain situations and agree unfortunately there is enough waste and f-ing off by enough people it ruins it for all. Isnt the social security office backlogged by a million cases? Heard that somewhere and unsure how true it is or where they were pre-covid but there are plenty of examples of it not working. And with the examples of those abusing the system and most people having to actually show up to work Im doubting there will be any public support for people staying home.

Rule of thumb use to be 5 years for a business or new home owner to hurdle without folding.
