Cutting ts sideplates

Who else has cut the sideplates for boot heel clearance?
Rode the thing for 3 hours and took the sawzall to it.

Just around the house.
Way more heel room.

I cut mine off after about 2-3 rides. I have since switched to the sx width so i don't have to trim anything.
