Cutting Outer Edge Off Ski

Just a update... This weekend... i cut both skies.. on the new Pro!!

WOW what a difference!!

Just dives faster..

Turns Quicker..

No.. push.. like it is staying on top of the snow not diggin in..

Side Hills... You thought stock side hilled well... It off the charts!

Great idea..

Works Well!!

And Free Upgrade!! well u still got to do the work~~

I used a reciprocating saw ..

I cut from the ski bolt.. angled back to the center of the ski..

I have done this for years on all of my sleds. I use a table saw and then a band saw to finish the "corner" so you don't over cut with the circular blade. I have not done it to the Pro yet. This damn thing carves and sidehills so easy, not sure that I will do it.

Floating in the pow

Do you feel any change the way the sled handel's in the pow?

i think the ski bites more..

not floating around on the top...

it keeps the tip up..

and the heal of the ski.. planted.. on side hilling...!!!

My thoughts exactly. How much BETTER can it sidehill. It is sooooooooo easy as it is stock.

made a bad mistake

i hopped on a pro with simmons skiis. crap! no compariosn. no chopping and pushing your arms around. corners like its on rails. sidehills better. $420 for the new gen III. anyone have any thoughts on this?

just cut one ski on my wifes sled '07 600 rmk i'm gonna take it out and see if it does better going each direction before i chop up my new skis. i love having a guinea pig sled. just have to tell the wife that it'll make it faster.
