custom tunnels

I haven't seen one but Fabcraft has a new nytro tunnel out. Anyone have it or see it?
I like their foot grates and the quality is usually great.
Pics would be nice.

Mike sent me pictures of it. It looks awesome. Don't have a clue how to post it for you. I just emailed fabcraft and had it the next day.
Got one on a rev and it's awesome. I'm either going with the Fabcraft or Diamond S.

Thanks Terry,
I got the pics from Mike as well.
Toyz and Stray*****, that VA tunnel looks sick. Made up my mind. We'll see it in 4 weeks. I'm curious to see how the 16 fits as well. That's on order too, now way I'm going thru this much effort and not riding my favorite 156 track.

thanks well i have a 16 in mine and it fits but its a little tight. its just took a bit to get it to stop rubing in the back by the rear mount for your skid.. but no probs now .. just sum rubber marks..lol

Thanks

With that VE tunnel what does the ID end up being between the drop brackets. How tight is a 16" wide gonna be?

M5

The inside measured out at 16 3/4 So yes you could put a 16 in track in it. The only thing I think you would have to do is file down the bolts by the delta box there are 4 on each side. I think the sled will be up and running 2 mar...then I will post the pics..

pics of the fabcraft tunnel.

I like the fabcraft look but man we need a kick....I'm not a huge fan of the straight tunnel....

Is CR gonna do there foot boards like VE?? that would be the ticket for sure.

what does the kick do?? thinkinf of have a timbersled nytro built, his tunnel is straight, so just wondering everyones onpions on this

Lots of great options out there. I'd be interested in hearing what are the likes and dislikes of each tunnel. My concern with the CR and VE tunnel is when i get stuck and need to use my highjacker are they gonna be strong enough? I am no engineer.

I just talked to CR yesterday and they are going to change the foot boards to have bigger snow escape holes, so I think CR is the ticket, he also said something about not having so much kick in the back.

i cant speak for the other tunnels but you wont bend the ve tunnel very strong i hang mine from the roof wile working on my skid all the time no probs.

I had my VE tunnel on my TApex buckle at the bottom of the tip up when the 6-8 rivets in front of the tip up came loose or fell out. The result was similiar to what would happen if you had carried another sled backwards out. The problem was I was riding when I noticed it and hadn't even done the un-scheduled crash or roll for the day. I was rather disturbed to say the least. I had to hang it to straighten it (which worked really well and you can't hardly tell) and then replaced the rivets with bolts. The bouncing on the trail down was what ended up ripping it a little in the end.

I've never heard anyone else having that problem though and I really like the tunnel for fit and feel otherwise. I'd get another one.

I belive when mike/ ve sends out the tunnels they are sent out with tep/ alum rivets so you can powder coat what ever parts you want with out hacking up your tunnel. After you are done p/c it or pollishing you use the rivets that mushroom out or go with s,s rivets. The tip up on the v/e tunnel is a big plus it is kinda like a ruter on a boat thats how you steer it when the ski,s are off the ground thats why I went back to v/e beacuse cr had small ones. I think cr has a awesome tunnel too. I will post pics soon.

When installing a CR tunnel on a Apex I heard the holes are pre drilled...pretty much pops into place.....or was this guy FOS?....For the guys that have installed a tunnel...Is there much benefit to it besides looks and maybe different grip on the boards?....

I have the cr tunnel on mine(pricy) It shaves about 20 lbs or more and will not hold the snow like a stocker plus will not ice up like the stock nytro tunnel:D

The CR tunnel is very strong, I'm impressed with the strength and design. Hard to go back to a M series tunnel after riding the CR.
