Custom Exhaust on Motorcycle

I was wondering if anyone has any experience making custom pipes for motorcycles. I have an 84' Honda Nighthawk 700. I can't find any 4-1 pipes. So I am planning on making my own 4-1 system. I bought a Supertrapp superlight stainless 19" universal muffler that will clamp on to the end of the pipe. The individual pipes coming off the motor are 1.5" in diameter. I want to combine them all into a 2" pipe at the bottom of the frame, bend the 2" pipe so that it runs under the frame and out the left side of the bike (similar to the 2 into 1 that is on the left side), then put my muffler on the end of it. Does anyone see any problems with this? I'm guessing I may have to jet up a little bit? How much effect will the length of each individual pipe coming off the motor have on the back pressure, if any? If there was a noticeable difference in back pressure in each pipe I could tune each individual carb to make up for it, correct? Also my muffler has removable discs so that I will have some control over backpressure. Does anyone see any problems with my plan or things I should watch out for? What is the best way to finish the pipe once it's done? High heat paint? Powder coating? I tried posting in a motorcycle forum but no one was much help. Thanks.
