Sorry to hear your dealer took you to the cleaners. I can get a set of 8 performance aftermarket injectors cheaper then that, rebuilt of course, same as they come from Ford. So your problems you experienced with your Powerstroke are your dealers fault, not Ford's.

ahh the lonely ford guy needs someone to talk to.lol. the destroked option is a good idea if you have the time and resources.Finding an nv5600 if you want a manual will be tough though.g56s are fairly easy to find.
 
so all this talking about getting rid of my truck has got me thinking how much i really love it. maybe i will keep it and put some money into it. Afterall, it does look really good sitting in my driveway.

What does your Ferd make Steve? Have you exceeded the 399hp before my block cracks and I pop a head gasket boundary lol? Wanna race?

I haven't been on the dyno or to the track yet with this new motor/turbo setup Mike. The last motor broke the 399hp barrier you speak of with out a broken block or popped head gasket, that is until I split a piston :eek: :D

When is Billifest?

As for Doc, no way is he affliated with Dr.Performance. If he is, he's a shop boy hired on to clean the bathroom and sweep the shop as he knows nothing.

I have 250k miles on my 1995 12v CTD, never touched the engine other than a reccomened valve adjust. Its a turd in stock form and the tranny sucks. The truck isn't much and the front end is junk...but the engine is great and get me 20mpg pretty easy.

I'd love to pull the enigne and rebuild it with soem go fast parts and stick it in a Ford like what you have...nice truck btw.

powerstroked162, what would be some of your suggestions for my truck?

It depends on what your lookin to do with the truck. If its gonna be a tow pig I'd set ya up with intake, exhaust, custom tuner, maybe injecotrs and a turbo upgrade. A turbo upgrade isn't a "necesity" at this stage but your truck definetly would benefit from it. Let me know and I'll get ya pointed in the right direction :D

i normally tow a 2 place sled trailer and a 24' camper a few times in the summer. Right now truck has k&n cold air intake 4" turbo back exhaust(No muffler or cat). Bully dog power pup on performance setting. bully dog shift kit
