Crowsenst pass

just quit snowin here 10 min ago got bout 6 inch in town today probably another 6 last couple days but it all blew away so just about ne where b good ill be sure to make some fresh tracks for u tommarow lol

staged at castle and never made it more than 3-4 km from the lot. There was so much snow.

BTW, it wasn't us who got stuck overnight, some other guys same time same place. The vid was put together to show the snow conditions. It would have been real easy to venture too far or down a hill too steep to get back up.

Hey Knee deep in it, that video you guys took by the oil well site is right beside the gully the four guys got stuck in. If they knew where they were they could have walked out in a couple of hours. We saw them drag their sleds out today. I won't be too hard on them though, because our group has put a sled down there a couple times.

are u talking about that ravine up by the pass that says do not drop into cause there is no way out?

It rained on saturday night but turned to snow in town. Higher elevations just got the snow. I rode thursday, friday, saturday and it was awesome. Trails are in great shape and the basins are currently in spring like conditions. check out www.cnplive.com there are a couple live web cams that show actuall real time conditions in town. Socked in now which probably means more snowup high, it should be really good as long as you don't ride the usuall places like lost lake, lynx and york creek. I heard out in corbin the trail is pounded out and they have no intention of grooming anymore this year. Very rough, even from the fernie side. The locals have been putting on some clinics lately if you care to push yourself.

Went up to the notch on Saturday and there was nothing fresh up there, on the way out it rained a ton and there were grass patches in the middle of the pipeline. Hopefully they got enough to cover and hopefully it stays there till the weekend.
