Crossfire vs M series fuel Milage

With the 800 class is there a big fuel milage distance between and crossfire and a m-8 with a 153 track, based on flat land riding in powder and little trail riding. Does anyone have any ideas, havuing trouble deciding between the two. Any help would be appriciated

I dont know about the 8s but my M7 gets way better mileage than my buddies XF7. He takes about $5 more every fillup. I think its because his sled has to work harder to get through snow that I dont even realize is powder.

My '08 M8 153 consistently gets better fuel mileage than a friends CF700 and his Mtn Cat 600 EFI 136.

If you're worried about the cost of gasoline, stay out of the sport or buy a 4-stroke or direct-injected Doo. Can't believe I just said that. :D

I have a 08 m8 and before that i had a m7 both sleds have 153 inch track and the m8 gets consistantly better milage then the m7 about 20-30 percent better and even better yet over the ski-doo 800s. I think if you buy a m8 or crossfire 8 you will be happy with the gas milage.

The XF tank is bigger by a little more than a gallon. I get 11mpg on my M, friend gets closer to 7/8 on his XF. But another friends 08 M8 gets closer to 15mpg. But hes still learning so the throttle doesnt hit the bar too often.

Just get a M with a 141 and you have the best of both worlds

I don't care about how much it cost for fuel and no 4 stroke ****. I am up in Canada and am debating between M or x/f. I have a mountain cat right now and i like powder riding but we also do some trail **** and i would like to get a M series.

And i didn't think the M came in a 141?

'07 was the last year for a 141" M.

Now for '09, a 141" Crossfire would be a reasonable choice but if it were me, I'd go M 153" minimum. Short tracks are good for lake racing and nothing else.

I think I agree with you, i'm not into the hole racing **** anyways, I was just curious thats all I think i will go with the M-8 sno pro 153 i think i will be ok with that
