Cross Bar Pad

Hello,

This may seem lame to some people out there but I have a question; why didn't our new sleds come with a bar pad??????? It doesn't look "finished" to me, like something is missing.

I've been looking on line for a bar pad but we only have 7" to work with and even the mini bikes bar pads are bigger. I emailed Pro Taper (waiting for a response) to ask if they are going to make a pad or????

Anyone have the same feeling or has anyone found a pad that works?

Thanks!

Agreed

I took the pad off an old set of pro tapers I had laying around and used the same cover. It was the only way I could put my old style handlebar bag on and get it fit somewhat correctly.

I thought it looked a little odd myself, but a way to cut costs, and there is no way a face is going to get through that stiff mountain bar this year to come close to the crossbar.

Gotcha, Polaris bag fits.

With Mid high bars the polaris bag does fit, but rubs on the dash bag when turning the bars, and makes opening the dash bag a bit of a hassle. Took back the bar bag and just using the dash bag and large windshield bag. They will hold all i need. Now that the bars are free, this might give me a good place to mount the tether and not have to drill into the cowling above the gas cap =)

I had some old Pro Tapers off of a 2011 Pro and used the bar pad from that. However, you do have to cut the pad to get it on the bar. This years bars (the low ones anyway) are more of a one piece with the mtn bar unlike the older ones. No big deal, it worked fine with the cover over it. I agree, it did look like unfinished.
