Crickets 2026 Skidoo Release

Around here there seems to be a lot of unsold Adrenaline/Edge Summits. Discounts on those aren’t stellar yet. What differentiates an Edge from a Summit X? Is it just quality of shocks and adjustable limiter strap? I must be out of my mind in such uncertain times, but I am thinking of Snowchecking a Summit X or Expert. I’ve only ever owned Polaris. Current ride is a 9R Khaos 165.

Hows your 9r been, I have a 2023 doo turbo r that I am looking at getting rid of to get a boost. What makes u want to try a doo ?

Seeing pretty deep stacks of unsold doos at dealers.
It’s comes and goes for dealers. Like my dealer said doo sent them 17 extra sleds than what he had planned on and they are down to the last few mountain sleds. It depends on the location but Early Winter was epic in North Idaho and I had a lot of friends upgrade from gen4 to gen5 chassis after watching the turbo gen5s run circles around them all day.

It’s definitely my favourite sled to date as far as power delivery and handling. I had issues in the beginning with the primary bolt backing out slightly after each ride, but I got that sorted out and have 700 miles so far with zero issues. I got rid of a Boost for this 9R. I despised the handling of the Boost, and had to cut two mountain trips short due to mechanical issues, although one of those was a dealer issue, and not Polaris’ fault.

I’m interested in a skidoo after I demoed an Expert Turbo 165 a couple weeks ago and really liked it. Also, I have bad range of motion issues in my right wrist and thumb after two surgeries that seems to be getting worse with age. When carving left, the plane of the Polaris steering puts my right hand into a position where I can barely operate the throttle. The Skidoo steering swings in a way that puts my hand in a position where I can more comfortably use the throttle.

It’s such a big deal since we’re (wife and I) fully set up for Polaris. I mean I have all the tools and could comfortably tear down a secondary clutch for example on the tailgate of my truck in the staging area, whereas I don’t even know how to take the side panel off a Doo. Riding remote backcountry with just the wife and I makes giving up 7S an impossibility after having ridden with it for two seasons.

I really liked that Gen 5 though. Going up the trail it felt like power steering compared to what I’m used to. I imagine that would be a HUGE energy saver on a long trail ride in/out. I would not be interested in a turbo, but they definitely got that power delivery figured out. It felt like I was riding NA but with boost when you want it. Another factor is I’m really addicted to buying shiny new things 😔

If buying a doo, you can sell your tools too.

i think it will be many years to get the sled sales back on track. in minnesota we are well into our secound year of winter with zero rideable snow. i wonder why Norona has been so quiet this year did they cut their pay?
Ha Ha! I broke my leg early season, fibula, but was back on the bike 12 days after surgery so worked hard to get back on the ski-doo at christmas , riding was good but zero snow and its hard as a rock....don't worry you might be surprised....release is the 19th of Feb, so get ready. Despite biden and trudope trying to destroy us, trump is back, and ski-doo will never sit idle. More fun stuff to come....

Really, best you can offer this thread as an ambassador is some stale takes on US presidential politics? We could just ignore that the tariffs might hurt the company you work for, or even what everyone's politics here are generally, you really just want to clutter up the thread with this? Obviously you aren't going to say one way or another what's coming out but you could add to the conversation... the real macroeconomic question is why skidoo is paying your ass to sit on the couch and spray this stuff, maybe I can get a factory rebate on that...

This is a very accurate review, the scooter style handlebars of the Polaris just feels off to me.
I have not tried a 9r so I don’t know how responsive that engine is, but the doo turbo is just as responsive as a NA, I found the boost very lazy and it didn’t have the power of the doo.
