Credit Cards ..who has them and how many ??

I have one that I put everything I can on it, even a couple bucks at the grocery store. Then without fail I pay it off at the end of the month. My pappy learned me good, if you don't have the money don't buy it, save it first.

Two, Business related and personel. Pay off every month. Pay cash for toys after saving....... Wait, if I screw up because of predatory lenders, maybe I can get a bailout.....crap, I screwed up by being responsible....I need to change my ways.....

users may not pay for using their credit card (if they pay it off) but merchant's pay
2% to 5% as a business owner i encourage my customers not to use credit card
and if they do 3% is added to their bill

Debit card only for me. I got a really good education on credit cards from my ex. She had about 5 and was about 25k in debt when I met her. Making payments every month, still 25k in the hole when we split up. Not fun.

I got a couple....one for personal, one for the biz. Pay them off every month and I get points. Despite my best efforts, I will not be buying a 300K house for cash at age 25, so attaining a good credit score and getting a mortgags is the only way :beer:

We lived in a dump for 5 years, and put a house payment a month into different mutual funds. We then lost our minds while we worked for a year building our own house, along with some good friends (you'll know who your good friends are when you get done). Times were different then but I bet it's still possible. Continue to save your house payment. Add up your mortgage payments and see what they are for 20-30 yrs. then imagine what your savings would look like. It ain't for everybody I guess but it worked for us.

I am saving up a heavy down payment regardless, and plan to pay off any mortgage well before its term. FWIW, a "dump" here costs $250K currently, so I am not planning on buying anything fancy by any stretch even at 300K+

I'm trying to convince my Nephew to go this route. A little discipline and hard work will get a roof over his head with out having mr banker robbing him each month. Start small and work his way up. Can you tell, I hate BANKS.

1 debit card, no credit cards but I do have a couple loans and a mortgage. It would be nice to get rid of the loans but lack of discipline takes over far too much. My hobbies are not the cheapest either - sledding and cars/trucks. Best debt I've had so far is my student loan - without it, I would not have half the toys I have today.

who's the guy who bought the truck with the student loan......i bet he has a nice assortment of credit cards.

had 4 down to 3, soon down to two..... I will always have two. One I use, and the other is extra...

I only use 1 mainly... pay it off every month.

Got to love 0% APR for a year... (plus the 3% charge...)...:beer;
