No stinkin root beer!

1 credit card...a limit higher than I need and I pay it off every month...at -40F I'd rather pay at the pumps than run inside..pay cash...run out...pump gas...run in...get change...plus I've got 80K frequent flier miles :)

got 1 debit card and 1 cc.

i use the cc for bigger purchases like my tuition, tires, and sled gas. use the debit card for grocies. cash for everything else. cc gets paid off every month

One cc card, paid off monthly and 1 debit card used only for cash...I don't think a person would admit to having 7 cc cards and a 30k outstanding balance! Or would they?

I've got like 3 of them, I transferred my car payment to a credit card (3%for the life of the loan on all balance x-fers) So this is my only "car" payment now.

I did the same with another card I used to purchase some things I needed when I got my first house (lawnmower and landscaping etc) It is also 3% for the life of loan on balance x-fers, I charged it on one card then moved it to this card and canceled the origional card.

I didn't activate the cards and just have them set up on an auto pay + add some xtra dollars each month.

Then I have another card I use like a debit card, make all purchases on it I can and pay off monthy while collecting tons of air miles.

So now we are in the pay our chit off mode, shuffling around debit is fun for ahwile but I'm sick of paying em.

A couple, One with a big limit for emerg. and it usually is at home unless im headed out on a trip, and the other as a credit builder with a nice low 200$ limit, got into 10k worth a few years ago and it took 5 years to get out from under it. Learned the lesson and won't let it happen again. Now its cash or don't buy it.
