Credit cards and credit score?

THIS is a good read for basics on credit cards.. It is true that the number really doesnt matter but with many cards you must know the details of each card and be really on top of your game because creditors look at you as more of a 'risk' to them.. Im not sure why you would need more than 2 or 3 personally. But thats just how i look at it.

She says that creditors don't like to see a card almost maxed out; they look at you as a risk, someone who is using too much credit and has trouble paying off debt.

That's the only thing about this whole credit thing that I don't understand. So what if my limit is $10,000 and I buy a $9000 TV or whatever, if I pay it off the next month I'm not using too much credit and I don't have trouble paying of debt. I have a Cablea's Visa so I like putting big stuff on it to get the points. Oh well, no sense in griping about it. Thanks for the heads up on that stuff Rasp.
