I've been running the regular blue Polaris oil, haven't had a stuck exhaust valve yet and they didn't really even seem that dirty when I cleaned them at the start of the season ... I've got ~1600 miles on my sled right now.

strange, i've been using VES Gold for about 2k miles and haven't had an issue...

it's good to hear you haven't had any issue with it, truly. many people have ran it without issue. i used it for a while. but, know what i think i know now, why roll the dice when there is better and cheaper oil out there. and if you really want to run synthetic you can't go wrong with redline. but now we are getting into who personal preference.

Oil!

Whats the latest on the castrol T2 oil is it stil avalible or is it gone, how many of you guys are using the citgo?

its GOOD TO GO..i got some bad info from an oil distibuter a while back..and he definately did not have any backing..so the Castrol 2T is alive and strong..

i bought a case of it and will buy it when ever i see it on sale..

i am using the CITGO sea/snow right now..rode about 200miles with it before end of season...was great.....i have a bunch of that as well..

So guido are you switching over to the castrol then, where are you buing each of these at? I saw earlier in the post people were saying gas stations and napa but I would like to know where I could buy in bulk.

i was going to buy the Castrol in bulk as well from the internet..and then one day i went into a gas station and BAM!! it was right there..they charge a little more in person but they ahve it year round too..so nice to have there..

but i have seen the Castrol mainly at gas stations...my NAPA hear does not carry it..

i bought my CITGO at Orielly Auto Parts..they didnt have it in their system so they sold it to me for $2/qrt...i bought like 15 of them..and BIG R sells it too..in gallon jugs..so i might stick with it for now..until i stock up on Castrol more..i bought that afterwards and dont really wanna mix it with the CITGO..but i will eventually be running JUST Castrol..

I bought the Castrol to use in the wifes 06 700 cause i ran AMSOIL in the sleds before that..and never changed hers...will start using it this season in hers for sure..

If you want to get down to the basics..remember that IndyDan said you can run Walmarts "Super Tech" as well...i know a guy thats been using that in his 900 for 2000miles and has ZERO issues..!!!

??

I went to Wallmart and canadian tire, neither of them had the castrol 2T oil. all they had from castrol was super snowmobile oil
http://www.walmart.ca/servletimagedownload?size=1&imageid=39496

thats the only castrol stuff i could find.

harry

WTF is super snowmobile oil...never even seen that before...

but as long as its 2-stroke..and is either mineral oil, or pertoleum oil..you should use it..i bet it might be the 2T in "gallon" jugs??

i am gonna look into that a little..

looks like that Castrol super snowmobile oil is only available in Canada from what i keep seeing on the net..says nothing about it on US websites..and the ones that have it, or sell it...are from Canada.????

i think i am going to call Castrol and talk to them..to confirm the production of the oil in the furture, and what the deal is with the "super" vs the 2T..i am willing to bet, its the exact samething..

but anyways. RMK_Miller...it says its $18 Canadian for the oil from walmart...thats a pretty good deal..i would be all over that if i was you..

my parts guy at lordco is guna call castrol or who every supplys them, hes going to ask if the super snowmobile oil is the canadian verstion of 2T oil. ill let you know tomarow. The supersnowmobile stuff is probly the same thing. and 18 bucks a galon is pritty decent.

so yea, the castrol 2T is only avaliable in US. the canadian version is the super snowmobile oil. so ill go pick up a cupple gallens of that next time im at wally mart.

i dont see it being an issue...alot of guys have done this with no issues...including myself..
