Trying to get crank out to check bearings, do you have to pull the magneto first? Have all the bolts removed but motor block doesnt seem to want to come apart? do you need a special tool? sorry but this is my first rodeo on this level ....YIKES what should we do while we have everything apart?

need to pull mag. then cases halves should split easily

i am doing the same thing. Are there any tools you need to take off the mag? and is there anything we should be carefull about when taking off the mag?

Yes the shop manual sais that you need to get a megneto puller.
