Crank snapped !

I could build two t900s for the price of 1 stocker PRO RMK . That way I'd always have something to work on and somthing to ride!

LOL...

only way you will get your dirty mittens on my 900s is if you BOTH come up here and finish the damn things..LOL

kreg...put the updated polaris crank in your 06, have Indydan do the TM1 for $500 and ride it as is..

buy that guys 05 900 with the TM3, and build a turbo on that masterpiece and love life like Dan does (DMJ1)!! ;)

i rode and 08D8 and a 800 pro last weekend I cant tell the diference in them and mine in the hanling dept. the only magor issue is the lack of power and torque in the 800s. the D8 is close but doesnt have that grunt I love going up a steep pull. The pro is to tight to tell how much power it will make.

.

Really? Is your riding area kind of open or are you riding tight trees, etc. To me, the D8's ride and handle more lighter than the actual difference in weight, if that makes any sense. Sorry to hear about your sled.

There is something to be said about the impressive torque of the 9's but what is even more impressive is a PGTD8.

I'd have to agree with Diamond Dave....

The curb weight of the sled is one thing.... and gyroscopic force of the heavier crank and rotating assembly affect how the sled is able to be thrown around....

I've been on some pretty light tricked out 900's (in the 450/460's) and they felt much heavier in the trees than an 800/700 that actually weighed more.

For a big guy like you... you will notice less of this...But... the 800's will feel like you can throw it around and put it anywhere you want.

If you stay in the IQ chassis... The best sled I've thrown a leg over was a 10 pound boosted 153" PC tracked 2010 700 with the BD turbo/mini cooler and EBC.... That sukker was a gas.

And so I don't catch too much crap from my 900 buddies... I'll still be on a 900 this year...with a couple of goodies on it.

Are you kidding ? I ride that chit hrough knot holes !why else do you think I just put a new bumper and plastics on ?PINE TREE PINBALL:face-icon-small-sho ! The newer sleds may be a bit easier to throw but not 8-12k better. No Way ! Ive spent alot of time making my sled taylored for me and i dont really want to start over. I cant swing a new sled anyhow so thats prtty much a moot point for the time being. We will see what works out but i just need a ride and stockers just dont cut it . turbo is the direction im headed in be it T8 or T9 we shall see!

Atta Boy....

even with all the frustration i get with my sleds from all the BS work i do on them...(of coarse all my fault, not the sleds lol) i couldnt get rid of them..

and with all the help and info i have on the turbo 900....its the WAY to go for sure...no doubt in my mind...

T9 :amen:

so whats your plans on this Kreg.

updated crank i presume, new cases, top end and TM1 or TM3?

I was just thinking about this. Are the Attitude turbo kits set up for 05s or 06 sleds or both .Whatever I do turbo is next. I just dont see buying new .I have enough boxes of stock junk . or If I could sell my soul for enough I would buy the fastrax Turbo Pro !

the turbo kits from derek are setup for either the 05 or 06. he is selling the new control boxes now...GEN 3.5, they are suppose to be the CHIT. the 05 model of coarse is the 2 pin injector box and he has one for the 4 injector 06 which would be awesome..suppose to be able to tune each injector separately.

the 05 and 06 kits contain the same parts the control box was the only difference.

someone just said he was getting $4500 out of the kits right now.

just MAKE sure if you do get a kit from him, you get it all in one box, dont wait for something to come in, or have it shipped later...

if the kit is missing something (due to not being instock), try and get that much taken off of the kit and order it from another turbo maker..(i.e. culters, turboboys, silber or twisted)

if you need something else, or info let me know.

also, i dont think Derek runs a BOV on his kits, but you DO want one..so add another $100-$200 for that (50mm bov, must be quality)

the sad part is...you have the skillz to make pretty much all you piping, intake, exhuast, oil tank yourself...so you really only need the turbo, control box, FPR, BOV, oil pump, gauges and hoses. lol....

who else make a turbo kit for a 900? Your right can make all that and pobably do it better that I can buy. Its real tempting to do myself

no one else makes the 900 kits...

i have got a ton of help from Dan (DMJ1) and have some crazy notes and specs..so if you decide you want to build your own,i can shoot you an email with the parts needed.

you just need to go through derek to get the turbo control box mainly...i think they are $300-350

sounds good! I will get it running for the rest of the year and we can get started with that after the season

That's the spirit boys!!! Build it !!

If there is anything I can do to help let me know !!

As Sean said He pretty much has all my specs!! :face-icon-small-hap

Sweet, got mine fired up today. I want to head up your way mid to Late March. Will you have it up and running by then?
