So did the 05 and 06 have the same Crank vibration issues ?

My 2005 had the Polaris kit #2203617 Crank Kit put in it.
It has very little vibration, is it worth while to put this kit in a 2006 Motor ?

2006 pistons
CLutch
New Belt

Or did the 2006 motor come with this crank in it ?

I would contact IndyDan, he can balance your current clutch and shim it to accept the 1115 belt if you so desire. Cheeper than installing a new crank

There might have been a few late model 06s that had the bigger crank, but as far as i know they didnt ...if vibe is the only reason for getting a new crank ,id just get your clutches balanced, new motor mounts and save yourself some money.

Thanks -- But

Still doesn't answer my question.

Is the Polaris kit #2203617 Crank Kit a better more reliable Crank ?
I have been told it is and it lessens the vibration.

If this is true would be worth my effort to put it in the 2006 Motor.

I own both motors so no purchase necessary. Looks like to purchase another crank could be at least 1000.00

The 05 & 06 cranks are identical to the newer large-taper crank aside from the crank snout itself, there is no change in the balance of the cranks. Reliability should be improved with the newer crank however, the larger taper gives the tip more strength and will help prevent the clutch from shearing off the tip of the crank.

Any difference you would feel between the 05 & 06 sleds is solely a matter of setup - what motor mounts, torque arms, and push stops you have installed. The SLP torque arm transmits a LOT of vibration into the sled as well as the fact that the '06 motor mounts are a harder rubber than the 05s. I put the 06 mounts in my 05 2 years ago when my stock motor mounts wore out and noticed a HUGE increase in vibration in the sled.

OH NO Sir you are mistaken !!!! 900 had MUCH fewer problems than the 800 and yes I did ( still will ) rub there faces in it!! With every push of the throttle !!
