Crank differences

What is the difference between the 04 HO crank and the 07 800R Ptec crank. I know about the case difference, but can a 07 crank fit in a HO case using HO jugs and head? I have a buddy that got a free 07 rev motor last year due to a bad head mil job, so boomo on the pistons. the crank is damn near new and he gave it to me. I know the 07s had their problems, but my HO crank just ate a Left side lower rod bearing and I was hoping this one would work..

I would suspect the rods would have clearance problems. The pin end would also be 27mm vs the HOs 25mm. Doo doesn't leave much room in the case. I really doubt the rods would have enough room.
