Cranbrook Riding Areas

Supposed to drive out to Cranbrook for New Years! Taking the wife and she will get her first taste of the mountains. Going to take it easy for the most part, don't know much about the area but is it worth the 10+ hour drive from SK. Or should we go somewhere else, I've rode Radium, Golden, and Revelstoke but would like to try somewhere new. I've heard areas are limited, more sun but less snow then Revy.

Any tips, or better info from those who actually have rode the area? Any info on snowfall, anyone riding now?

Cranbrook is nice, like you said not as much snow as revy but more sun
