2003 CR125 frame, re-heat treated, billet Y section. Frame work done by Teem Trubble.
1996 CR500 motor, new cases, rod, bearing, crank balanced and welded by Indy Dan. Ported by Doug Ruth. Decompression valve by Millar Racing.

From Service Honda's website. These are bad bikes. Great ride, light weight strong frame, with a 500cc motor.

I have a 2000 CR500. I have been thinking of doing this as well.

thanks guys. It has been a very fun project. Learned a ton and plan on doing another. I have been thinking about the '84 air cooled motor in one. The trouble is the spars are too low.......I wonder if FTX could make a whole frame.....mmmmmm

Note: Service Honda made a short run of LE's (Limited Edition) in the 125 Gen 3 chassis. It has a steeper rake and is way harder than the 250 that SH uses for all it's conversions. However, they didn't do a "X" version like this one :)
