Well here is my problem and any help would be appreciated. I have a CR M-10 in my turbo nytro this suspension works really well so well infact the front end of this machine is very heavy and has become a pain to boondock with, i didn't really notice it too badly until i rode a turbo nytro with stock suspension WOW it was fun to play on, dont get me wrong my sled work amazing in the steep and deep but in the creeks and trees its a tank... so all you guru's out there tell me what the deal is i am wondering if its just set up or if the suspension is mounted incorrectly i am using the CR mounting plates so it should be right.
 
That the way they are, built for climbing.Some adjusting for ski pressure can be done but thats about it.I know that fun feeling you mean with stock suspension.Be nice to have both ways with the touch of a button.
 
Make sure your rear shock adjuster block/stop is mounted in the holes the furthest back (there are mounts drilled in Chad's rails...at least in the ones I have)...if it's as soft as it can go and still too stiff, valving/springs would be next...still tinkering with mine as well...
 
The suspension is not to stiff, it just doesn't transfer, I hate to complain about it because its doing what its meant to do, guess i just chose the wrong suspension for my style of riding. thanks for the imput guys
 
I never did it to mine yet, (a stock m10) but you can shave the coupler wear blocks off some (1/4" max I think but you would need to talk to someone to be sure) and this is supposed to help give you some more transfer. I was told this by m10 last year.

I have a brand new timbersled suspension (and cr 162 rails) it might be a better suspension for your riding style. I might be willing to trade plus pay you some $$$ for your cr m10. Interested pm me
 
I have a Fast M-10 136 in my Vector and I noticed the lack of transfer as compared to the stock suspension. It will pull the skis but only a couple inches off the ground and they don't stay up very long. I also noticed the track spins more from a dead stop than stock. I think this would not be the case if it transfered like stock. I've not messed with the couple wear blocks as I've been working to tune it so it is soft as possible without bottoming out all the time.

I've been amazed at the adjustability of the rear skid. Very minor adjustments make huge differences. I also love the way the skid just erases the studder bumps. For climbing, I like the way it keeps the nose down. I've not put even 500 miles on it but so far I don't think I'm giving up much for climbing. If I am, then it is made up for in the control I have with steering and bump soaking capability when going uphill.
 
well boys i have learned that mounting is key with these suspensions, mine was mounted in the location that CR recomends and I decided to take a stab in the dark and drop it 3/4 of an inch, WOW what a diference its like a whole new sled.
 
what end did you drop 3/4 of an inch ? . i havent had mine out with my m10 yet . but its mounted in hole that come pre drilled in cr's external brackets . kinda worried after this thread though
 
I dropped the front hole 3/4 of an inch. i went 3/4 because it was as much as i could go and still stay on the extenal mount plate. one thing i will say is that there is way more ski lift and for the ultimate hillclimber i would leave it in he top hole.
