CPC m8 Stage 3 HO turbo

Look for another option from Cutlers next year above and beyond the pump gas and race gas turbo kits. What Dale is calling the stage 3 HO kit. Kit will include pipe mod, different Charge tube, dual injector 50mm throttle bodies, dual inj Attitude Box and a 2871 Garrett turbocharger. Boost levels around 18lbs should be no problem for this setup. Mine and Dales m8s have had the HO kit installed and will be testing this week. If all goes according to plan they should be ripping at Fairview this sat.

A few pics below, although there is not much to see but pics are always nice... :D

so what kind of #'s we talking and what fuel???

I assume you are asking hp numbers and I would only be guessing as we havent dynoed yet. I would guess 300 range and a motor octane of 112 to be safe? My m8 at 13lbs w a small squirt of Noss out of the hole gave a Nytro at 14lbs a real strong competition, but that is just one race and two sleds. The shootout will be a good indicator of what this combo will do.

Thanks for the info, it's worth considering. Just curious why no intercooler?

probably because intercoolers are heavy and not needed unless you are going to run over 18 pnds of boost but he may have a different reason
just sold are m8t that had a pure lodgic set up with a 63 aero on it at 10pnds boost it was an animal

are we going to see stage 3 HO m1000 as well? shopping for a turbo kit for next season;)

Sure, it includes the 1300 cylinders :D

Not sure what dale is going to do with the 1000, I believe he does have larger throttle bodies for the 1000 as well though so He may do something along that line.

SWEEEET!!! where do I sign?

took the new setup for a quick trail ride tonight. Expected more lag because of the larger volume charge system and bigger turbo. Sled was very responsive and noticeable less lag. Couldnt judge top end very well. But very surprised to not gain lag with this setup, if top end is better its going to be an amazing setup. Also the Attitude Dual Injector Box was SPOT on, didnt have to touch a thing... amazing!

I look forward to seeing you there at the shootout.

update on this kit: I ran 16lbs no problem all day at fairview. It ran real good beating a lot of other turbos. Im tired of the I beat you banter on the forum so I will skip all that. But just to give a report, 16lbs was no problem for this kit and it can be dialed right down to 7 or 8 easily as well. I think it needs a higher boost actuator to run over 16 cause I couldn't get it to go any higher. I ran sunoco 112 and the motor is still strong. I blew 2 belts on the Noss nitrous when I overshifted the primary clutch. If you want more speed with this kit you will need more gearing. I havent had near enough time to tune this kit to get it where it should be. I ran 75 grm CPC turbo mags early in the day and hit 8200rpm. I put 2 oz in ea weight late in the day to see if I could stop the belt problems and it lowered my rpm substantially and didnt have any more belt problems, some said it was faster. Low end is as good or better than the reg race gas kit. Attitude programming was very easy.

actually took the Ho m8t riding today and did some real climbing with it. turned it down to 14 lbs to start with and it was phenomenal. Climbing was not the word, ripping up the mountain was more like it, and the awesome power combined with the unbelievable agility of the m8 was the most incredible sled Ive ever climbed with. My buddies were hogging it so I didnt even get to climb at 16 lbs before we had to go, something for next time I guess. Then on to 18 lbs once I get a high boost actuator on. So far so good on the HO kit.

In order to get things straight up I do need to mention Im now having a belt blowing problem. Yesterday after about 8 HARD rips up a big mtn blew another belt, at the top, luckily. Working on it cause damn its expensive. Dont want to gear down cause like I said before I already run the belt out the top of the primary at top speed. Gonna get with Dale on this and see if we can get it fixed. May try some different belts and more venting. Will report once I get it solved.

have you got a diamond s hood on that beasty? seemed to cure my buddies belt problem (or made it way better anyway) on his cutler 1000 equiped m7.
