The pistons are the only thing that I need to change yet. Clutch was just balanced and new boots were just installed last week.

I'm hoping that it can wait for a summer job. Keep your fingers crossed for me, It won't get ridden as much as everyone else rides theirs on here so thats why I'm hoping it will last. Please let me know if this sounds stupid and should be more concerned. hahaWell get to it. Might be riding in three days over here, just waiting for the next storm to come through.
If your going to keep it invest in the pistons. They tend to break.Great thread, I am in the same position. I bought a 05 900 with 1400 miles and its all stock. I am doing clutch Balance, SLP mounts, 115 belt, and hot air kit. I need to ride it for a few miles to decide if I like it before I invest more than that.

Thanks for the advice. There are a whole bunch of threads on here from guys who did the same thing and then dropped a piston skirts and grenaded their engines. Sled is 5 or 6 years old just bite the bullet and get the pistons before you are needing a complete engine.
