You're correct regarding killing the incentive. I've said that for years.
Where you're wrong is in what you imply that the incentive is.
Entitlements is the incentive.
Immigrants coming here to work is not a problem. Immigrants coming here and absorbing entitlements results in US citizens economic hardships, then of course there is the criminal activity.
I don’t know of anyone complaining about legal immigrants coming here to work, particularly when they are doing the jobs that we've become too damned lazy to do. And they are just like every other demographic, there are wonderful people and there are turds, and everywhere in between.

I haven’t looked up the stats but I’d bet as a whole there are more ‘Muricans than immigrants per capita absorbing entitlements and committing crimes.
The system you guys have down there is broken, there is no doubt about that. But until the partisan and racial hate subsidies and people actually look at the situation logically the only “solutions “ that you are gonna get are asinine ideas like the wall that are a rallying cry to the base and do nothing to solve the problem

You could go back to my posts four years ago and realize that I wasn't pushing the wall as the best solution then either.
Problem is, no matter who is in power, they will continue with entitlements, in that case a physical barrier slows the influx better than any other practical option.

The stupidity is beyond common sense , how long if not still have they had or have the HVAC systems as in the ventilation systems shut down at businesses ? Think about it, walk into a business that has cleaning supplies , fertilizers , insulation , pressure treated lumber , propane run fork lifts , green houses plants etc. etc. nothing a little stagnant habit to grow or suspend something the respiratory system will enjoy .
