It so explains the old bastards when I was a kid, they knew this country was going down a **** hole.
There's an old couple that can be a little rough around the edges at times. After he got out of the military and worked as a heavy equipment operator for several years he went off grid remote and I mean off grid. Grows his own irrigated food, builds cabins, makes groomers for some. A jack of trades, even though he's crabby as hell I give him a ton of respect for the life he chose.
His work is amazing, as an example he built a door and it's all wood, that includes the door knob and internal lock.
These kind of people are becoming extinct, those in charge won't the shackles put back on.
He does give me **** for my worthless one ski
because there's nothing utilitarian about it and my tracked unit just stays out of the conversation.
I need to go over and wish the old bastards a Merry Christmas
