I am heading out on the 30th , how are the conditions i heard that fernie got 2 feet in the last 48 hours . can anyone verify these rumors. I wondering where is the best place to go right now?

I talked to a guy who went to Corbin couple days ago, I guess they got a lot of new fluffy pow but not much of a base yet... Hopefully it will keep snowing!!

They were awesome, I personally haven't rode in powder like that, we went tuesday and good riding on the pipeline, had to watch for stumps no base but 3' powder. went in on wednesday another foot of fresh then it was great , we didn't even get to the cabin

We were at the pipeline yesterday. The snow is about a month behind normal, still very low. Never seen so many big boulders and sticks/signs for the pipeline on the pipeline before. Currently there is no base, with the 90cm of snow or so that has fallen in the last week, there would have been pretty much nothing before that.

Its the same almost right across the entire east Kootenays no base with deep bottemless POW.

3 ft of fresh heavy snow up there this morning ! Gonna settle to make a good base all we need is a cool snap and another good dump after this warm weather were gonna get for a little while longer and bam ! It's gonna be great !
None the less was an insane day of riding deep deep deep. Turbo'd Nytro was even getting buried down in that snow.
We were listening to avy's cracking all day so stay on the pipeline or close to it, if U go in the chutes your askin for trouble. I was digging myself out of a hole for about an hour this afternoon and hear 6 avy's break! In one hour.
Play safe ! You have been warned !

Most won't even be able to get to the chutes, but those who can please don't !
