My 01 summit 800 has some brown looking dust on the clutch side cylinder and back side of the primary clutch. Any ideas what it is ? I was thinking crank seal/bearing but it runs great.
That stuff is pretty normal. You should blow the primary clutch out with compressed air after every 2 or 3 rides and you'll see a cloud of that crap come out. Stick the air tip in the clutch holder slots along with the clutch front and you'll be amazed at the crap that flies out. Keeping stuff clean means better performance.
