The CoPowRiders rescued 3 + 1 on Saturday. The first three didn't speak, were completely lost, without food or water, barely able to walk from exhaustion and 10 miles back Spring Creek in deep snow. After some coaxing they finally agreed to a ride on the snowmobiles but tried jumping off numerous times. :face-icon-small-ton

The last one was the tourist who hit the gaurdrail on Cottonwood and whom both ZachCreek and Abner helped with.

Finally... Props to CSA for helping keep Cottonwood, Taylor and Spring Creek areas open to snowmobiles. Props to the BV snowmobile club for smooth trails because while we all like the powder, trails help us go farther and are a welcome sight after a long day of deep powder and you are almost out of gas. Props to the BV search and rescue for taking the time to volunteer and being there when needed.

Nice job. Is that the Elliotes Ridge / Spring Creek outside of silverthrone? Any body know who owns the dogs?

It was Spring Creek outside Almont north of Gunnison. We rode from Denny Creek at Cottonwood Saturday morning, found the dogs at Spring Creek in the afternoon then found the Cottonwood accident on our way home that night. It was a very long and eventful day.

The dogs belonged to cross country skiers and had run away early in the morning. After finding the dogs we decided to take them to Almont because it was the closest town. Zachcreek ran into the owners near the trailhead and we took the dogs there. The owners were happy and lucky for them we found the dogs because they were not looking good. They were dog sitting the brown dog and without the snowmobilers they might have been saying "Ooops... We lost your dog and it's dead."

Hopefully we earned some SNOWMOBILER POINTS!!!!
