Cooler axys pro

I need the extra cooling the sks has, but my heart wants a 163, 2.6 with qd. Is there any aftermarket cooler that fits? The coolers for proride, does those fit? Or how much work is it to mount the front cooler from the sks?

Doubtful the work would be less than a pro, which was reported to be 'alot'. There's a thread or two about it here. Start by stripping the bulkhead. You'd likely put the bypass in the head, too (front cooler on a pro ride was always active, no thermostat control), tho there is some design change with the 800ho in the Axys, but there is the SKS and 3" to model. One or two did it on a pro ride.

I'd bet some peeps will be putting a 'TRS' bypass with the doo thermostat in an Axys at some point. Just a hunch. Lots of unknowns with the 800ho ECU and how it manages engine temp and output.

I thought the axys/800ho already has a bypass tstat.?..

Yeh it suppose to have the bypass already. But seems to be a lot easier to put in a aftermarket cooler

You would need to disassemble the sled almost completely... De-bond some parts... Destroy the bulkhead floor in removal of it ... pay for the new cooler...Then re-assemble and re-bond everything.

IMO... If a sled doesn't come with the front cooler... don't try to add it.

You are right. 800ho supposedly has a different routing than an 800, with or without the front cooler. Don't know if it's similar or the same as the 800 CFI-2 with a front cooler. Lots of peeps just aren't aware the front cooler on the old 800 in a RMK was always active flow, thermostat open or closed.

Might be easiest to add a 163 track and rails to a SKS and live with the chaincase, the difference between belt drive and chaincase isn't that noticeable. Someone might have a aftermarket belt drive available next season if you insist on having it.

Probably a moot point, but with a little patience the you can remove the floor without any damage. I've done about half a dozen now, with zero damage and re-used the same floor plate.

Not sure why you have issues, and have stated that numerous times since the PRO-Ride chassis came out.

Finesse will beat force every time! Work smarter not Harder. Force / and excessive force are more fun and is applicable only when you are not trying to save the parts for re-use. Unfortunately I've bought a lot of used parts that have been removed by neanderthals with that mentality, rendering them un-useable by my standards.

Rant over, back to topic.

Either that or add a rear cooler. You'd be nuts to add the bulkhead cooled unless you wanted to take the sled apart for another reason at the same time. Get some extra wheels for your 163 as well if you're going to be riding it like that...your hi-fax will thank you

Get the SKS and extend it to the 163.

Tracks USA will surely have a kit. You can sell the take off track, or tracks USA will take trade in tracks.

I extended a 121 to a 144, it doesn't take long. with a few busch lights and a couple guys we had it done in a couple hours. My advice: get a couple pieces aluminum angle under the tunnel to bridge the add on tunnel. it makes it very rigid.

You could run a Silber or other brand heat exchanger that they use for intercoolers. Not sure on the cost but you can retrofit without disassembling the whole sled.
