coolent sensor problems help

my guage is reading 188 degrees when I start the sled up cold and it does not read anything different I am leaning twords the coolent temp sensor, is there any why to check the sensor or anybody else have this issue, I have checked all connections thanks chris

What does it read when you disconnect the temp sensor?

Chris,

I've had issues with my sensor. It would bounce around anywhere from 25 degrees to 170. Replaced it and all is good now.
