I know it has been a thread topic already. The search doesn't bring anything up. I know SLP has a pretty sweet gauge by KOSO. Is there another one out there and where does it plum into the coolant system? Thanks in advance.

Something to be aware of in regards to the 1100t cooling system we have found both on the dyno and on the trail. The stock settings for the coolant idiot light to go on and start the stock ECU into a safety mode are very close to engine melt down. Meaning, if your coolant light goes off, stop immediately! Usually about the same time the light goes on, the motor goes clunk and you get out a tow strap. That's one of the many things we changed on all Evolution ECU reflashes. The safety point for engine temps is reduced on all Evolution reflashed ECU's regardless of HP level. This gives you a large safety cushion between the time the light goes on and the pistons become part of the cylinder walls.
Yup. The temp will be the water going into the motor, whether or not the Thermostat is closed.I want one to know how warm\hot the engine is running. So I'd want in the line headed to the cooler. Right?
I am planning to put one on my sled but am going to put it after the motor. i want to know the actual opperating temperature of the engine. installing it after the cooler will only tell you the temperature of your cooling system. Just my opinion.
